Gary Spangle

Here are some designs for Gary Spangle from Mr Warwick. He was the crass host for the animation night on Channel 4 back in 1998 or 1999, we can't quite remember the date. I do remember watching the night with a load of friends, seeing the links we all so loveingly animated. Then the disappointment as Chanel 4 splurged their big square box 4 logo over 2/3rds of the picture covering the funny bits on about half of the links at the end of them.

Our Old Logo

Here is our old logo from the 80's. This particular one was scanned from a mock up of a Rubbish King of the Jumble VHS cover. Everything was hand painted onto cell and all the writing was done with letraset! How retro!

Amazing Animals

Afternoon. Here is Mr Rex. He was one of the many characters from the series Amazing Animals for the Disney Channel. Amazing Animals was a live action series with a CG computer lizard as it's host. Every episode there were 4 times 40second 2D shorts in it which we did the animation. Mr Rex was one of the recurring characters. He was my favorite as we made him into a little softy really.
Oh as a side note, the pegs were at the top as he was a panning level (which the BG panned through shot behind him on bottom pegs). When we would animate the pegs would always be at the bottom of a page. It makes flicking the pages easer.

A Process Test

Here is a still from a little test Mr Phil did of Sniff, one being hand drawn, the other being flash. This moves. Maybe I will show you one day. Maybe.

Dead Animals

Here are some images of the short shorts 4/5ths of the team that did Chapman made for MVStudios for the website My Health Tips.
Leah designed them both, Paul composited the Dead Animals one and Jane n Chris animated the character one. You may notice the plate of dead animals... that was later changed to a juicy burger! It's a shame. There was steam coming off the dead animals originally. It was grim!
Anyway you can see them HERE!!!!

Heads

Jane and Leah went to the filming of the credits for the Chapman Project and as Peter, Chris and Paul couldn't go they took these heads with them. Chapman bodies were for something else which we may tell you about soon. Perhaps.

Amazing Animals

Here is a sheet of notes that would have accompanied a load of delivered animation from one of our animators Mr Arril. I don't remember what these notes are meant to tell us but Mr Arril has always been quite meticulous. This was from Amazing Animals we did for the Disney Channel and Partridge Films

Chapman at NY Comic Con

The Directors and Producers had a panel slot at the NY Comic Con last weekend and spoke about the film and showed some stills and two clips. One clip being our song section. This was them enticing people into the auditorium. There was a big crowd, Mr Jeff sent us a video of the crowds reaction whilst watching the song. It was lovely to see.
Here is a review of the panel

The song had this review

hilariously transgressive and in questionable taste

That makes us very happy.

Here is the facebook home page for all things Chapman

The Other One

This is a picture showing just some of the drawings that make up a section of a dance routine. Jane Davies is the Director of our section, she did a lot of the pointing, some of the animation and most of the moaning. A lot of late nights staring into a screen and eating. What she ended up with was bad eye site and an extra stone in body fat. All she demanded was 3D confetti. She got it in the end, thanks to Mr Paul. Told you he was clever.
